my two bundles of joy

Look how fast they've grown. They used to be my cute little babies. Now, they are still cute (that's for sure!), but they have become mature individuals, if you know what I mean.

Luke is now a preschooler who has I think asked ALL of the "whys" and "whats" of the world. Oh, he has calmed down a bit recently.

Lois, on the other hand, has a stronger personality and possesses very good motor skills (both fine and gross). And when she says "no", she shakes her head vigorously -- simply telling us that she means it.

A few years later, they would be both mature individuals busy with their own things. But they will remain my babies in my heart forever. ;)

our first and last family pic

yes, this is our first family picture since Lois came into our life.

and yes, this is also our last family picture. Dadi left us so soon, and this picture is one proof how happy we were when we were still complete.

dadi, we will miss you so much. in fact, we already miss you so much since the day you left us. the terrible pain is still here, but i know it will soon fade away. but the happy memories we shared together will always be in our hearts.

we love you so much, dadi.

four months after...

here she is now ...

super friendly, smiles at every smiling face she sees, eager to talk, attracted at any bright red-colored thing that catches her big bright eyes, and as ever, a couch potato.

stay tuned for more pics ...

PS: oh, this post only reminds me that I haven't blogged for four months. well, the reason is clear ;)

my queen has arrived...

Ladies and gentlemen of the blogworld, I am very much pleased to introduce to you my precious queen, Lois Abigayle.

Lois was born on December 20, 2007 at 8:26am (Phil time) via CS (she's a breech baby, that's why) and weighs 3 kilos. Almost everybody says she gets most of her physical features from me. ;-)

She's over a week old now, and has been a good girl so far. She's such a couch potato (good for me I have time to sleep, and work, and blog) and the only time she lets out her crying spell is when she can't find the right way to latch on during breastfeeding (and yup, I am 100% breastfeeding, mainly due to financial reasons hahaha!).

I'll post more pics in a couple of days.

is it a girl this time?

well, i hope so.

once, i had this weird dream that i'd already given birth to a healthy baby girl. my dream is quite strange coz i didn't even get to see her face when she was born or a even a baby. in my dream, she was already a youngster -- smart and beautiful -- and showing her wits to the family by explaining (i couldn't remember what exactly it was).

could this be a sign? or just a mythical force that drives me into thinking that i'd really have a baby girl come this December?

well, let's wait and see. ;)

preggy update

How's my pregnancy going on so far?

I am on my second trimester already, and my tummy is starting to get noticed. At this stage, I only have a few clothes/pants to wear ... :( It is still too early to wear maternity dresses, ya know.

Sometimes, I get impatient that I always utter, "sana December na ... para makita ko na ang baby ko." Or, maybe, excited is more appropriate word for that. ;) I am excited to know if I'm gonna have a baby girl this time. Most of our friends, including my obgyne, wish us a baby girl. Oh, I fervently hope so...

As I go through my pregnancy, I slowly realize that it is rather difficult to have my second baby when my firstborn is still young. Luke, now at 2yrs and 3mos, wants to be carried most of the time, and I find it hard to play with him all day long, especially at times when I want to take a nap, or I don't feel so good. I wonder how those moms with sunud-sunod na tsikiting cope with all these? Any hints? ;)
